Why do most home weather stations cut off at -40? What are some that read below that?
I have a dream of moving to the arctic, and I often poke around on the PWS network in these arctic areas and notice all of the stations bottom out at -40. I also see this is the bottom range limit when reading the specs of all the home weather stations I can afford. First question is why, and second, are there any under $400 that go below that range? Preferably at least -60°F
