Planning my first Europe trip changed how I see travel videos
I’m planning my first trip to Europe, and I recently realized something while researching destinations.
Before this, I spent a lot of time watching travel videos on TikTok and YouTube. Places like Paris, Venice, and Amsterdam always looked perfect, beautiful streets, quiet cafés, amazing views, and almost no crowds.
But after reading more reviews from actual travellers, I started noticing that those videos usually show only the best moments. They don’t show the long lines, high prices, crowds, bad weather, or the less exciting parts.
It changed the way I’m planning my trip. I’m less focused on finding “perfect” places now and more interested in knowing what a place is really like.
For those who have travelled before, what destination surprised you the most because it was completely different from what you expected? #travel source
