بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Bismillāh ir-Raḥmān ir-Raḥīm

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ
Wat-tīni waz-zaitūn
By the fig and the olive,
وَطُورِ سِينِينَ
Wa ṭūri sīnīn
And Mount Sinai,
وَهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ
Wa hādhā al-balad il-amīn
And this secure city (Makkah),
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ
Laqad khalaqnal insāna fī aḥsani taqwīm
Indeed, We created man in the best form,
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ
Thumma radadnāhu asfala sāfilīn
Then We return him to the lowest of the low,
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ
Illal-ladhīna āmanū wa ‘amiluṣ-ṣāliḥāt
Except those who believe and do righteous deeds,
فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ
Falahum ajrun ghayru mamnūn
For them is a reward uninterrupted,
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ
Famā yukadh-dhibuka ba‘du bid-dīn
So what causes you to deny the Judgment?
أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ
Alaysa Allāhu bi-aḥkamil ḥākimīn
Is not Allah the Most Just of judges?
