Technique Advice
So, I recently got my first sheet music books around December (J.S. Bach: The First Book for Pianists, W.A. Mozart: An Introduction to His Keyboard Works, and Beethoven: An Introduction to His Piano Works, all from the Alfred Master Works line), and I was wondering about where you’d place my technique overall in terms of grade level? I’m self taught and started learning to read sheet \~a year ago on my own, and I’ve been playing around 3.5 years-ish? Anyways, do you have any advice or critiques? I’m hoping to get lessons soon, but I’m 14 so it’s all up to my mom. I want to note I have played harder pieces, but I wanted to go back and build my foundation because I can hear that my quality of playing is just not up to par. LAST thing, I do have a Marantz, which is also a fair bit out of tune, so bear that in mind. Thank you!
