I’d personally choose the Trad Goth style. It just feels closer to the quiet, heavy emotions in this story. The dark tones and soft shadows match that silence between the mother and son—the kind where a lot is felt but nothing is said.
The Emo style is powerful too, but to me it feels louder and more expressive, while this moment is more about what’s hidden. I’d want the look to reflect that quiet pain and unspoken love.
