NYC roadtrip to Montreal or New England coast?
(Coming from NYC area) 34F, experienced solo traveler. All of my solo travel has been in Europe but I’m looking to at last do one here in North America. I’ve driven in multiple other countries so doing this road trip will hopefully be a breeze. Ideally the trip will be middle of October, a Sunday to Friday.
What I like: museums, live music, hiking, a great cocktail, architecture, spooky things.
I like a good meal but am not a foodie by any means. Happy to also be scrappy when necessary, go off the main path. Will splurge when worth it. Would love for the whole trip to come under $1K, excluding meals.
So I come to you all for advice considering this will take place when the leaves are changing and it’ll be a bit cooler. Which option do you recommend and as it’ll be a road trip what cities should I do research on?
