Deep Backcountry Guiding for Field Work
I’ve been thinking about pursuing a guide cert for guiding field expeditions, that being field research or other work in the deep backcountry. But I’m not sure if there is actually any need for something like that.
In what cases is work done in the deep wilderness, and in what cases is hiring a guide for necessary? I know that’s a broad question, and maybe a bit naive, but I really don’t know enough about this stuff to be more specific.
Any info, even if that’s where else to post this instead, is appreciated.
