People miss extroverts more than introverts

Introverts are often portrayed online as classy, mysterious and superior, while extroverts are called loud or cringe. But in real life, I think people often notice, enjoy and miss socially confident extroverts more.

I'm not talking about obnoxious people who constantly demand attention. I mean the playful, mischievous, spontaneous, slightly rebellious extrovert who can occasionally be annoying but is fundamentally kind.

When they're absent, people often genuinely feel that something is missing.

Meanwhile, an introvert can be incredibly kind, intelligent, helpful and pleasant to be around, but if they're quiet and unobtrusive, their absence may not be immediately noticeable.

I don't think this means introverts are less lovable or that extroverts are superior. But I think social presence and being lovable are two different things. Unfortunately, I've seen people be more fond of extroverts, while introverts often feel left out or unimportant. They may even fear that people wouldn't bat an eye if they simply faded out.
