Australia rainfall pattern and Feb 15–28 outlook: north–south split
Maps showing total precipitation and percent of normal from Jan 1 through Feb 14, followed by forecast total rainfall and departures for Feb 15–28.
The pattern is fairly clean: above-normal wet-season rainfall across much of the north and northern interior, while much of the southern belt and southwest remain below normal. The late-February outlook generally reinforces that structure, with continued rainfall focus in the north and more limited relief signals in the south.
