I am jealous of woodworkers who can actually afford not only good wood, but acceptable wood.
Mild complaint/pity-party post. I’ve been working with wood for nearly 30 years. I have a garage full of mediocre tools. And I have never really been able to afford good wood. Over the years my projects have been made mostly with MDF, plywood, recycled wood, and my efforts have suffered for it. I have no point to make except that I am jealous—jealous and envious of y’all who have good paying jobs that allow you to experience this craft the way it was mean to be experienced.
