1️⃣If discrimination ended tomorrow, I believe one behavior people would still struggle to change is favoritism. Even without open discrimination, some people would still choose others based on comfort, similarity, or personal preference. As humans, we naturally feel closer to those who think like us, look like us, or share our beliefs. It takes strong character and self discipline to treat everyone fairly, not only those we feel comfortable with.
2️⃣In my opinion, discrimination is most often caused by fear. Fear of losing control, fear of being replaced, fear of not understanding someone different. Fear can quietly grow in the heart when there is no trust or compassion. For me, fear is the hardest to remove because it hides deep inside a person. Only humility, faith, and sincere reflection can truly remove it.
3️⃣I believe every person is created by God with equal value and dignity. I may not always see the struggles of others, but I know I am responsible for how I treat people. My faith teaches me to show kindness, fairness, and patience. If I ever benefit from a system, I must use my position not to look down on others, but to help and uplift them. In the end, I believe we will all answer not for how powerful we were, but for how we treated the least among us.
