For tonight's reflection before we go to bed.

GOSPEL REFLECTION;
On the feast of Saint Lawrence, we remember the deacon who faced death with courage and even humor. When ordered to surrender the Church's treasures, he presented the poor: "These are the treasures of the Church." Jesus said: "Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain. But if it dies, it produces much fruit."
Saint Lawrence lived this truth radically. His death was not the end but the beginning of a fruitfulness that endures in the Church to this day. The grain that dies in love produces a harvest beyond counting.
How can you die to yourself in the small things of daily life? Each act of generosity, each sacrifice made in love, is a seed that will bear abundant fruit for the Kingdom of God. Fruitfulness is born from self-giving.

🙏Prayer 🙏
My sacrificial Lord, Saint Lawrence counted death as gain, trusting in the fruit his martyrdom would yield. Grant me that same courage—to die to self each day and live only for You.
Jesus, I trust in You. Amen.
