First Lollapalooza was 35 years ago today. Who else was there?
Didn’t know it at the time, but this turned out to be a historic event. I was 25. My memory of the details is sketchy. But I distinctly remember seeing Ice-T walking through the crowd with huge bodyguards while other bands were playing and then blowing minds onstage with Body Count. Also, Trent Reznor throwing a hissy and storming off early when the heat fried some of his equipment.
