The Lindsay Clancy trial, TikTok, and the CCP

I must say I find it odd and frankly suspicious that a concerning amount of support for Lindsay Clancy is coming from a Chinese propaganda app. We've known for quite a while that the app isn't just concerning for the data it collects, but also the content that it shows. Anyone who has ever used TikTok knows that the content is *different* from other social media such as Insta, Facebook, or X. It's hard to describe but the difference is there. Every other social media is owned by an American company simply attempting to make profits, while TikTok is owned by a company under the direct control of a foreign government with tensions with the United States.

Let's be real: no sane human being is going to stand in solidarity with Lindsay Clancy. She killed her children. That happened. The question of whether she had malicious intent or was in a state of psychosis is what the current court case is trying to decide, but regardless of the verdict she is a child killer. There is no valid reason to put on a pink shirt and stand outside the courthouse holding a sign that says, "I support Lindsay!"

It seems that the CCP is attempting to turn this tragic situation into more gender war slop. That is *very* clear by videos both in support and against her. I have reason to believe that the Chinese government is intentionally pushing content to TikTok to make American men and women hate each other. There are certainly other examples, but this case is the big one at the moment. It's difficult to tell their exact endgame, but as we have seen with other issues in this country, the worst thing that can happen in a society is for it to be split into two groups of people who hate each other.
