Why Midwest Summers can Feel so Humid and Oppressive?
Compared to similar or hotter places in temperature.
Michigan gets hot and humid, the air can feel really stagnant and oppressive, especially when there is little wind and during the nights.
Is there an actual meteorological reason this could happen? Maybe differences in dew point, wind, nighttime temperatures, sunlight, or acclimatization?
