Miter fold angles… 44.8° or 45° or 45.5°??? Why so much conflicting info?
I’ve seen some tutorials from expected authorities suggesting either 44.8 or 45.5. I just did some mock ups with spare ply and 44.8 produced a miter <90° and 45.5° produced a miter >90°.
(I used Titebond III on the first and CA glue on the second.)
I’m practicing this because I’m going to be doing a miter fold on some expensive walnut ply and want to get it right.
But I am surprised there’s not an authoritative value for the degrees to use!
