Most celebrities are incredibly mid looking.

I reflected on celebrities in general and realized that they really are mostly people I could see running into at a super market, gym, or gas station. Rihanna is a girl you’d run into at a bar, easily. I’ve seen like 4 different versions of both Tom Holland and Hiddleston serving tables at restaurants. I’m pretty sure I bought molly from Timothee Chalamet once. Idris Elba could be the guy that’s showing you a model unit. Emily Blunt was at the park yesterday looking exasperated chasing her kid down to pack him in his stroller. That girl that looked like Doja Cat is still blocked on your phone.

All of those people are remarkable talents and have been involved with some of my favorite movies and music, but they’re just not all that stand out in the beauty department. They just look like normal people. Which isn’t bad, but it’s just weird that they’re pumped up to be these paragons of what we consider to be the peak of attractiveness. The most attractive woman I’ve ever met was at the counter of Geek Squad in an Atlanta Best Buy. Like confusingly pretty.

Seeing clips of the Met Gala kind of reinforced that. Like, sure, most of these people are hot looking. But anyone can find the right outfit and makeup to look like the hottest person in the room. If you’ve seen any of those people in pictures out in the wild, they look just as basic as the rest of us.

It could be that society in general has shifted to where people feel like they have to look like these people. Maybe it’s a media machine. Maybe it’s just a part of getting older and noticing these things. Idk.

They all just seem like really normal looking people.
