Teachers should be trained to diagnose/asses disorders of any kind
The amount of students that I know that we're simply labeled as "the dumb kid" because they had some underlying diagnosis is astounding. ADHD/ADD is fairly easy to spot, but those same symptoms could mean something else.
With training, teachers should also get higher pay because they are trained professionals who can constantly supervise. They would be the first point of professional assistance to witness anything.
