As a hobbyist how do you manage dust?

Hi! So I’m a hobbyist woodworker with a few projects per year. I have a small room (maybe 6-8 m²) on the second floor of my house where I keep a table saw a miter saw, and several power tools like a router etc

I struggle with dust management. I find it almost impossible to keep things completely dust free. I bought a vacuum that I can connect to the table saw and it works a bit, but the vacuum bags are super expensive and it’s definitely not completely dust free. It also doesn’t help while routing or with the miter saw. How do you deal with this without setting up a whole dust collection system with pipes and tubes

I especially struggle with this when painting or finishing. Pieces often consist of multiple parts like the shelves, crown etc. Also often a piece needs an extra sanding after the first layer (usually with sand paper), which means more dust. Or I need to finish both sides and I have to let a piece stand on the floor (which is never dust free)

I now find myself going back to re sand problems and refinish them. Is this basically the curse of a hobbyist without enough space?
