Culturally Significant Italian Media?

Hi! I've had fun asking this question to friends recently, and as I've been learning Italian for a while I wanted to pose the question to you guys too!

If you had to recommend 5 or so pieces of media (movies, tv, etc.) to a foreigner to help them better understand *your* experience growing up in Italy/as an Italian--what would they be? Movies/TV that you continually reference or had a lasting impact on you from childhood, movies you had to watch in school that you loved, or even just your favorite comfort movies that make you nostalgic! Doesn't have to necessarily be a literal showcase of Italian culture, but something important to you/your experience.

For example, my recommendations as an American would be something like this:

1. The Sandlot (so insanely American and so nostalgic)

2. The Goonies (another kids-on-bikes addition, just love that era of film)

3. The Road to Terebithia (nothing will ever compare)

4. Good Will Hunting (honestly anything with Robin Williams)

5. Holes (everyone my age had to read/watch this in school and loved it)

Mine change all the time and honestly I feel like I'm missing big ones, but hopefully you get my point. These are films that were really important to me and my upbringing specifically that *also* are really well-known/regarded in American society *in my opinion.*

So, what's yours for Italian media? I'm curious!
