What do we need to do to prevent this happening with our bathtub?
We've redone the caulking twice since we moved in. Both times we've cleaned the area thoroughly prior to re-caulking. The grout seems a little damaged beneath it. This time, the black mold came in with a vengeance. It seems like where the caulking meets grout they aren't creating a good deal against moisture.
Do we need to redo the grout?
I saw online that caulking shouldn't really even be covering grout.. is that right? What would our solution be here?
If I'm doing this myself, what do I need to do? If I'm feeling too lazy to do it myself, what sort of service should I be looking for? A Google for "grout and caulking repair" hasn't resulted in much that's helpful.
