Is it worth moving the kitchen?

Hi all. I'm planning an extension and I have to extend the gas pipe. However as I don't want the newbathroom (old kitchen) to lead to the kitchen. I have to run the new gas pipe under the floor to get to the other side. Will I regret my decision? Should I keep it simple and have the gas pipe on the same side?
