There are only two choices. Anabolic and catabolic.
The Indian story of two wolves symbolizes the internal battle between good and evil within us. An old Cherokee tells his grandson about the two wolves fighting inside him – one representing catabolic thoughts like anger and greed, and the other embodying anabolic qualities like love and compassion. When the grandson asks which wolf will win, the Cherokee responds, “The one you feed.”
This tale highlights the power of choice in determining our thoughts and energy. By nurturing positive thoughts and emotions, we can cultivate inner peace and harmony. But, dwelling on negativity only attracts restriction and lacking. The story serves as a reminder to be mindful of the thoughts we have and to consciously choose to feed the wolf of anabolic energy.
Ultimately, the Indian story of two wolves teaches us to be aware of the energy we invest in our thoughts. By focusing on love, kindness, and compassion, we attract the abundance into our lives. Making the choice to feed the wolf of anabolic energy allows us to create a more fulfilling and meaningful existence.
These are all choices. Don’t make reactive choices. Be proactive and choose what life you want to live. Even though both energies have a purpose, choose the one you really want to experience in life. Feed it well.
