Recognition is gratifying, but it’s external and temporary; the real value comes from the freedom and opportunities it provides.
I’d still choose it because happiness and security are more important than fame or approval. I could quietly live a fulfilling life, make choices based on my values, and even help others without needing credit. In a way, it allows me to live intentionally rather than perform for an audience.
