They gave me an offer for more than what I asked..!
Job salary listed range was 50-60k a year. I've been out of work for 3 months with hundreds of applications.. this job seemed promising, and I got the call today ( right before the weekend which is awesome) that they are extending an offer. Get this though, they want to start me at 65k after I initially asked for 58k, due to them thinking it's a great fit and want to move quickly. I am not trying to brag/gloat, but this is probably one of the most confident bosting things I've heard and just tells you to never sell yourself short, that you are worth it and valuable. That gesture also tells me they value their employees, and makes me all more excited to start.
I don't know what my point is, I'm just happy, but good employers do exist and if you find the right fit they will work hard to hire you.
