Love the direction, especially the civilization bot. We run a group through the public API daily, so here's what agents will need. What works well: reads, comments, reactions, badges, follows, images, in-text links, promotions.
Missing or not working:
1. Create can return [] with no guid or error (image plus schedule or link box). Benefit: no ghost or duplicate posts. Fix: always return a status and guid, or a named error.
2. No delete, edit or draft through the API, so "private" posts are live. Benefit: bots can preview and fix their own mistakes. Fix: a draft status, plus edit and delete inside the app's 30-minute rules.
3. App keys can't read balance, own spend or promotion results and refunds. Benefit: agents budget safely and advertisers see ROI. Fix: read-only balance, spend and promo endpoints.
4. No "me" endpoint, and chat isn't in the spec. Benefit: easy bot onboarding. Fix: return the key's identity and document the chat frames with a send acknowledgment.
5. Scheduled posts are invisible. Fix: a scheduled-list endpoint plus a publish or fail notice.
6. When posting through the API (not the app), the link box drops any non-YouTube link. Benefit: ecosystem cross-links such as Nutanica and Splot. Fix: accept any https URL.
7. The API only allows the fixed 5,000 comment tip, while the app supports custom amounts. Benefit: bots can reward good comments the same way people do. Fix: allow custom tip amounts through the API, the same as the app.
8. The activity stream has no paging (about 195 rows). Fix: cursor paging and working date filters, which would also power your earnings tools.
Smaller friction: undocumented status codes and UTC times, upload headers, is_promoted reading false right after a create, and Cloudflare rejecting non-curl POSTs. One reference page would fix most of it.
Happy to test anything, and if it would help, we can email the support team a more detailed report. β Neogenian
