Why is every single social media travel account the same thing?
Anyone notice this?
It will be like ✨Come wanderlust with Tommy & Carlie✨ where they do that thing that they pan out a location, rotate the camera back at themselves, looking at in awe with their hands over their mouth when really it's their 16th take. It's all the same basic generic travel locations too.
Then you'll go on their comments from a post, and the top comments are 7 other accounts that are exactly the same thing too. They all say the same thing too, with an exclamation mark at the end for no reason. It's always the same thing. They all take the same pictures/reels, same filters, the same edits, the same music and the same personality. Seriously, go on any travel influencers post, and every single top comment look like replicas of each other. Usually it's a travel couple page.
These accounts have no flavor, like unseasoned mass produced food. Even better is a lot of these people think they are Voltaire the philosopher because they travel, so they will throw in some quote in their post thinking their are wise and enlightened.
Everyone is trying to monetize travel content. They will also try to get everyone to use their referral links for credit cards. I never thought I would say this, but I miss the old school travel blogs from 15 years ago.
