Working on this new Autumn zone! like it a lot but need some outside feedback to continue improving it.
Wanted to share a bit of the autumn area I'm working on for Quantum Quartz, a precision platformer where you switch between different colors to activate the platforms. (nightmare for colorblind people but im also working on that)
its set in a dystopian steampunk world, so I'm trying to keep the environment warm and a little muted while making sure the gameplay platform colors still pop clearly and are very readable.
The background is still WIP. I went with a darker one here, but I'm tempted to test some yellowish tones and a brighter sky to push the autumn feeling further.
Would you keep the darker background, or go brighter? should I add more plants and vegetation? (its one of the few outside only zones)
I really like it but if I had to add more props or something to make it feel alive I wouldn't know what to add.
