The autumn crocuses (Colchicum autumnale) have appeared! 🌸🌸🌸🌸 I had been eagerly waiting to finally see these pink wildflowers! Interestingly, the flowers emerge directly from the ground—without leaves—in the shape of a long funnel between September and October. Every part of the plant is toxic to both humans and animals, so I am not transplanting it into my garden.
How beautiful🌸Nature always has a few fascinating surprises and this one is definitely a beauty to admire from a safe distance😊 Wishing you a peaceful and splendid Sunday evening, and a wonderful week ahead✨🌙
Yes, unfortunately they are toxic, so they are best left in the wild. We have our own cultivated crocuses in the garden; those shouldn't cause any trouble, right? 😊 Have a nice afternoon, dear Dana! 👋🤗
No no, the crocus isn’t toxic as far as I know. I get the yellow and purple ones here too. 🌼🌸 Thank you so much, dear Judit, have a nice afternoon too! 🥰😘
