Kept in Stone: A Spicy Standalone MM Monster Romance
***He warned me twice before he turned me to stone. I still don't regret staying.***
Rhys broke into the ruins for one reason: pay off a debt that was never his to owe, or watch his sister suffer for it. He didn't expect the ruins to be occupied. He didn't expect the thing guarding them to give him a chance to leave. And he never expected that when he refused β when the stone climbed his legs and pulled him under β the voice apologizing in the dark would sound more human than the man who'd sent him there.
Kallan hasn't looked another living soul in the eye in three hundred years. He's stopped counting the ones who ran the moment he gave them the chance. He tells himself Rhys will be no different β right up until the moment Rhys isn't.
Blindfolded trust becomes something neither of them planned for. A debt neither of them can outrun catches up regardless. And the only way Rhys gets his body back is the one thing the curse never accounted for: not fear, not magic, but choosing to stay when leaving was always on the table.
***Kept in Stone*** is a standalone MM monster romance novella with a captor-turned-caretaker gorgon, a forced-proximity slow burn, and a curse that only breaks for the truth.
