Am I being disrespectful?
Well, I'm Pedro and I'm 15 years old. My parents force me to go to church, so to pass the time, I chat with some of my brother's friends, who are 12 years old, and use my cell phone. In general, I don't pay much attention to what the pastor says.
Because of this behavior, they've been nagging me, saying that even though I'm an atheist, I need to respect the church environment, paying attention and participating in the service when they ask me to stand, for example, to receive a blessing.
They also said it looks bad for me to seem uninterested because of their friends, who keep commenting on it.
What do you think? Is it disrespectful to stay in my corner using my cell phone?
