“New Life” still has such a special sound, and it’s amazing to think this was where Depeche Mode’s journey began. ❤️ What a beautiful piece of music history to look back on, my dear Dana! 🎧✨
Wow, they were so young. They were my favorite band 🎤🎵 when I growing up 😆🎧

New Life still sounds like a door kicked open. The voice on Speak and Spell is already all conviction, and the rest of the album is the last time #depechemode gets to be this bright before the songs turn inward. Forty-five years later that cold little pulse still starts arguments about which era counts. #davegahan

So true! "New Life" still feels fresh and full of energy after all these years ...

Forty-five years on and New Life still kicks the door open. Those early synth lines on Speak and Spell never picked up any dust. #depechemode

Hands up for New Life is the correct reaction. That one still has somewhere to go.
