I made this custom desk from scratch. Its not perfect and I made some mistakes but it was fun as hell and I learned a ton in the process... Finished pic 1 (build details below)Finished pic 2 (build details below)It all started out with working from home during the beginning for Covid and a need for a more ergonomic and larger desk. I figured why not build one. I made a website to detail everything and will explain it below as well.I started with poplar 2x4s that were milled on 4 sides for a nice finish. I cut rabbet joints into the 2x4s and then drilled and pinned cross members in place to connect them. I did all the cuts using a compound sliding miter saw and everything is in more detail on my website linked above. The website linked in the opening of this post has all the dimensions and more detailed instructions. After the side panels were done, I laid out the drawer slides which were made of 1/2&quot; square dowels running the length of the side panels. After these were all screwed in place, I started to build 2 boxes made out of the above shown assemblies.
