YSK: the vast majority of tornados travel from southwest to northeast

**Why YSK:** If you are out in the open or in a vehicle and are not able to shelter in place, you should attempt to *immediately travel away from the tornado*. If you are north of the tornado, travel north or northwest. If you are south of the tornado, travel south or southeast. If you are directionally impaired and don't know down from up or left from right, most smartphones will tell you which way you are facing in Google Maps. Of course, you should act fast and make a quick decision for your safety and the safety of those around you.
