Sexual harassment at Kite Beach
So my sister (19) decided to go for a long walk on the running track at Kite Beach and came home rather upset due to the fact that she was followed by a bunch of chavvy, classless mushroom heads (chamak’s) that started catcalling her.
I mean, what’s wrong with these people? Also, why tf are y’all wearing AirPods when you’re hanging out with each other?
She was obviously terrified and left the place immediately, and will probably avoid that place for the foreseeable future. However, it is sad to witness such incidents occurring in Dubai, where people were previously fearful of catcalling women due to the substantial penalties in place. Unfortunately, the lack of extensive police patrols in these areas, particularly on foot, makes it challenging to enforce these penalties. Hopefully, the Dubai police will deploy unmarked foot patrol officers in those areas, like they do with the cid in JBR.
