The Batu tulis Inscription is located on Jalan Batutulis, Batutulis Village, South Bogor District, , Bogor City. The Batutulis Inscription complex has an area of 17 x 15 meters. The Batutulis Inscription is considered to be located on the site of the capital city of Pajadjaran, which is still located in its original location and is the name of the village where this site is located. On this stone are carved sentences in Old Sundanese with Kawi script. The inscription is dated 1455 Saka (1533 AD).
The purpose of making this inscription is to commemorate the greatness of his father, namely Sri Baduga Maharaja or better known as Prabu Siliwangi who ruled the Padjajaran Kingdom in 1482-1521 AD or 1404-1443 Saka.
The strength and majesty of Prabu Siliwangi is believed to reside in the Slate so as to provide protection to the country from enemy attacks and give strength to the reigning King.
