Have you ever visited a landmark just to realize later that, in fact, you did not?
I was hiking a popular destination in my town when I saw some tourists taking pictures in a certain place, congratulating themselves. After chatting with them, I realized that they thought they were at the end of the trail, but they were not. Had I not told them about it, they would have gone home thinking they had enjoyed the great views, when those great views were some distance ahead.
