Hot take of the day: Using a "spotter" while off-roading is obscenely cringe 90% of the time.
I understand everyone's experience is different and every vehicles capabilities are different.
But I absolutely despise that every fucking offroading video I watch these days literally no matter what type of terrain it is there's always some absolute jackwagon out there yelling gobbledygook to the driver over obstacles THAT ARE RIGHT FUCKING THERE. 👀👀👀👀
How can anyone be expected to learn how to offroad their vehicle whatsoever if they have to be handheld up the slightest inconvenience?

South/East African 4x4 Vehicles
Hi guys, just looking at buying a used 4wd in Botswana, Mozambique or South Africa. Hard to find information so commit to the best community of non AI people, aka people.
Missus and I would like to travel around for a year around East Africa / maybe Namibia/Angola too and are looking for a robust 4x4 that can handle hard tracks with enough room to sleep in a rooftop tent or maybe in the car and stash all the gear needed to live offgrid.
Budget isn’t huge 15-20k $ AUD so was thinking a Nissan hardbody/Navarra or Isuzu MUX- DMax if I can find the right one. We don’t need all the fancy electronics, just a reliable car we can kit out or already kitted out. Opinions on which is best or why I’m completely wrong ? Cheers
