*Celebrating Eid ul - Fitr: A Joyous Celebration of Gratitude and Community*

*What the day means to me*
Eid ul-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, is a triumphant celebration of spiritual growth, self-reflection and gratitude. It symbolizes unity, forgiveness and renewal.

*Preparing for Eid*
Preparations begin weeks in advance! We:

1. Clean and decorate our home with vibrant lights and banners.
2. Plan traditional outfits and shop for new clothes.
3. Prepare festive meals, like biryani, kebabs and sweet treats.
4. Invite family and friends for gatherings.

*Celebrating Eid*
On Eid morning:

1. We perform congregational prayers (Salat al-Eid) at the mosque.
2. Exchange gifts (Eidi) with children.
3. Share meals, stories and laughter with loved ones.
4. Visit elderly relatives and neighbors.
5. Engage in charitable activities, spreading joy and kindness.

*Special Traditions*
Some cherished customs include:

1. Early morning prayers.
2. Family photo shoots.
3. Traditional henna designs.
4. Sadaqah (charitable giving).
5. Visiting cemeteries to honor ancestors.

*Traditional Foods*
Savoring delicious dishes like:

1. Biryani.
2. Haleem (slow-cooked stew).
3. Kebabs.
4. Samosas.
5. Baklava and other sweet pastries.

Lastly, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to ma’am  for once again giving us such a wonderful activity through which we had the opportunity to share about our festival.
