Installing recessed lighting for high ceiling only from attic side
I've installed recessed lighting without issue for my second story bedrooms and am wanting to install it for my living room. The only thing is the living room is 18 to 20 feet high and I'm not wanting to rent a large ladder or scaffolding. I was thinking of just doing everything from the attic side. Once I make my hole from the attic side, I was planning on just dropping a rope and bringing up the lights that way. This should work right?

Looking for tool suggestions for a first time homeowner
Hello! I just bought my first house. Previously, I was traveling for work every 3-6 months for the past decade so I've never had a chance or reason to really acquire any tools. I have basic hand tools, some chisels, a drill, a couple levels, and thats about it. The tools i do have are ridgid brand- i know they arent high end but they get the job done pretty well for what ive needed them for so far.
With that said, I have some woodworking experience, mostly just doing stuff with my uncle in his garage. But I am not knowledgeable enough to know which tools are considered "essential" or what brands are considered decent (not trying to start a brand debate or anything).
Here are a few projects I plan on in the near future: making shelves (currently have 0 lol), making a TV/entertainment stand with cabinets on either side, bookshelves, adding a set of stairs to the backside of my deck, shed, replacing my MDF trim with hardwood (long term project).
I'm assuming ill need: table saw, band saw, miter saw, and a router? Maybe scroll saw? I dont plan to acquire these all at once and am ok with buying used if recommended, but just looking for enough to get me going. My first priorities would be shelves and the stairs for the deck! Thanks to anyone that can offer some guidance.
