Every Halloween, one of the common topics/themes is all about ghouls and monsters.

Anyway, I guess it is just right to share one of my NFT creations about one of the mythical creatures in the Philippines.
The Tikbalang.
The tikbalang is a mythical creature in the Filipino folklore. It has a head and lower limbs of a horse and a human body. It is said to live in the forests and often play tricks on those who ventures deep in the woods. Those who fall under the tikbalang's trickery will get lost in the forest. To break the spell, one must invert his/her clothes.
Another story associated to the tikbalang is it is the protector of a certain "agimat" or charm that falls from banana bud or locally known as "puso ng saging". According to the folklore, on a full moon at midnight, one must stand under a banana plant with a blossom or bud and wait for a dew or maybe a nectar drop from the bud and catch it with one's mouth.
In order to claim the power of the charm, one must prove his worthiness by fighting a tikbalang. If he wins, he will receive the power of the charm, and in some version can call on the help of the tikbalang when needed.
