"I didn't expect today to turn out like this, but.................."

I didn't expect today to turn out like this, but here I am thinking of something to reply to my immediate superior or if I really want to reply again. So early in the morning, I read her message and it wasn't good. It made my blood boil.

I kept it in mind, and while doing my routines, I organized my thoughts, drafting what to reply. I ended up with a 2-paragraph response, 873 characters, while her first message was just 283. I'd been anticipating her reply, but when it came, it was only two sentences that made me realize how much of a gaslighter she is.

She excels at gaslighting! She distorts facts to gain power and control over us, but when someone calls out her faults, how unprofessional and ungrateful she is, she twists words to make people doubt themselves: 'Was she right? Was I wrong all along? Why didn’t I come to her immediately?' The truth is, she's on the wrong side of the coin. Not everyone speaks up against her because those who stay silent know their own faults, too. I think there really are people like that, who believe whatever they say and do is always right.

Share your expectations for today,

I didn't expect today to turn out like this, but I walked into an ordinary afternoon carrying a weight I couldn’t explain.
I was scrolling mindlessly when an old photo popped up,one I had avoided for years.
Instead of closing it, I paused, and for the first time, I didn’t feel regret… I felt gratitude.
It reminded me that not everything we lose is meant to break us; some things quietly rebuild us.
So I did something small but different I reached out to someone I had been meaning to thank.
And somehow, in that simple moment, the day shifted from heavy to meaningful in a way I didn’t see coming.

"I didn't expect today to turn out like this, but..."

I went out thinking it would be just another normal day.
On my way back, I saw an old man sitting alone, quietly crying.
I sat beside him, not knowing what to say, but he started talking anyway.
He told me he had lost someone and just needed someone to listen.
We stayed there in silence for a while, strangers sharing the same sadness.
When I left, I realized sometimes being there for someone is more powerful than words.
