Walking the grounds of the Nan Hua Temple in Bronkhorstspruit. It feels surreal to find this architectural masterpiece here—it is actually the largest Buddhist temple and seminary in the entire Southern Hemisphere! This was a perfect crisp autumn morning back in 2018; the 10:25 AM sun was bright enough to freeze the action and make those orange tiles pop against the blue.

It’s funny how you can walk the same path every day and miss the universe at your feet. I stopped to look closer today, and what I thought was just a patch of green became a miniature forest hiding in plain sight.
Leaning in, I saw thousands of tiny, velvety trees, each one a perfect, intricate structure. It felt like stumbling upon a secret, hidden world. Getting up close with nature's tiny details like this is a powerful reminder that there is beauty and complexity in the most overlooked places.
