Why it’s going extinct: In the future, physical wallets will be replaced by just a phone or even a biometric scan (like your fingerprint or face). Cash is becoming "too slow" for our fast-paced world. It’s bulky, it’s easy to lose, and it’s actually quite dirty. Most of us already pay for things like our morning coffee or groceries with a quick tap or a scan. Soon, the idea of "digging for exact change" or "finding an ATM" will be a story we tell our grandkids. Coins will just be round pieces of metal people find in the dirt and wonder what they were for.
