"Midweek momentum isn't about acceleration; it's about maintaining a steady, sustainable pace across open ground."
Happy Wednesday to all!
By the time we hit the middle of the week, the temptation is often to hurry toward the finish line or measure how far we’ve come against arbitrary metrics. But stepping out onto a path like this reframes the whole journey. When you look at a trail winding through natural terrain, you don't think about speed; you notice the crunch of gravel underfoot, the scent of wild herbs in the air, and the wide horizon ahead. It’s a physical reminder that steady progress is built on rhythm, environment, and presence, not rushing.
How are you allowing yourself some mental breathing room as you navigate your midweek path?
There’s something about old buildings that makes me stop. Not the polished ones. The ones with faded shutters, stained stone, uneven rooftops and little scars left by weather, winters and time. I photographed this in Pontarlier, France , because it felt wonderfully lived in . Nothing pretending to be new. Nothing trying too hard to be beautiful. And yet… look at it. 🤎 Windows that have watched decades pass. Shutters opened on ordinary mornings and pulled closed again at night. Chimneys that must have known a thousand cold French winters. Sometimes age doesn’t take the beauty away. Sometimes age is the beauty. 📸 Pontarlier, France 🇫🇷
First, the chaos had a purpose… 🌸🧶 All those yarn tails weren’t just hanging around looking untidy — they were busy becoming flower petals. 😂 And now… the circle is officially learning how to become a square. 👀 This is one of my favourite parts of a crochet project — when the shape suddenly begins to change and you can finally see where the design is heading. Still a work in progress. Still a little mysterious. And still not telling you what the final project is just yet. 😏💗
