How are you all? I hope you are all well. I am also well, Alhamdulillah. I am back with another new post of mine. Today I will share with you some moments of studying in the university lab.
Those of you who read my posts regularly, please be assured that I have got a job as a new lab assistant in a private university. I joined the job on the 1st. I am in charge of the lab of the EEE department. Basically, when there is a lab class, I have to take out the materials according to the list and when the practical is over, I have to put the things back in their proper place. That is my job.
My duty is from 9 am to 5 pm. I have to go in the morning and sign in with my finger and when I come in the afternoon, I have to sign out with my finger at 5 pm. Now the semester final exams are going on in the university. As a result, there are no lab classes, I just have to go and register and sit in the lab until 5 pm. The first two days of the job were good for doing some official work. But from then on, I have to spend my time completely idle.
Again, the problem with the phone that I will use in the lab is that my phone does not get a network connection in the lab. After spending the second day boring time like this, I finally decided to use the time instead of wasting it. Thinking about this, the next day I took a few books from home and put them in my bag. So that I can go to the lab and study.
The other day, I went to the university and took the key from the department with my finger and went to my lab. Before going, I spent some time organizing the lab things and putting them in their proper place. Then I sat down with a book and started reading. Actually, working in a lab is a big advantage. When there are no classes, you can sit and spend time, and you can also do your own studies.
To be honest, the main purpose of taking the job of lab assistant is to continue my studies along with the job. I already knew that there is no pressure in the lab, that's why I first applied for this job in the private sector. And by the grace of Allah, the job also matches.
Even if you can't study all the time, you can study here for a lot of time during the day. In fact, if you try, you can do a lot of things. Our department coordinator sir said that there will be no lab classes in July for now. There will be lab classes from the start of classes in August. Hearing that, I felt peace.
Actually, I have an exam next month, for which I have to study. And if there are no lab classes, I will be able to study very well sitting in the lab. Still, I don't know if the head of the department will get angry again for this. I hope he won't, because instead of spending idle time sitting and reading books, it will be useful for yourself.
Again, it is not possible to sit and use the net on the phone. In the lab where I sit, when I turn on the net on my mobile, it just sits there. There is no way to watch videos or chat. That's why it's better to sit and read books. But sometimes I sit down to run the lab computer again. What else can I do, the idle time doesn't want to go.
This lab job is very important for me. I hope I can finish my government job preparation very well. Everyone will pray for me, so that Allah Almighty will give me a good government job.
