Good morning #tangledfriends !
Let's start the day with a beautiful love song.
"The Power of Love" is a song that has been covered by many artists, but Celine Dion's rendition is one of the most popular. The song was originally written and recorded by Jennifer Rush in 1984, but Dion's version was released on her 1990 album, "The Colour of My Love." The song became a massive hit, topping the charts in Canada and the United States and reaching the top 10 in many other countries.

"The Power of Love" is a powerful ballad about the strength and importance of love. The lyrics speak of the comfort and security that love can provide, even in difficult times. The song has become a popular choice for weddings and other special occasions.

Enjoy and have a wonderful day!

“Mirabelle, where are you going all dressed up like this?” Flora asked, casting a suspicious look at her only daughter. Mirabelle was shocked to hear her mother’s voice.

She hadn’t expected her to leave her room so soon. She had overheard her jovially discussing something with her father inside their room and considered it a perfect opportunity to sneak out of the house. Unfortunately, her mom caught her before she could open the door. Panic rushed through her, as if she were a child caught red-handedly stealing meat from the pot of soup.

“I… I… I was thinking of going…” she stammered, unable to finish her reply as her mother interrupted with anger.

“Going where?” Flora demanded.

Mirabelle replied timidly, “Um, to my friend’s birthday party.”

Fear filled her voice as she continued, “Mirabelle, didn’t I warn you against leaving this house at night?” her mother asked, disappointed.

“But she invited me, and I promised never to disappoint her,” Mirabelle pleaded.

Flora’s frustration grew. “Why are you always so stubborn? You’re not going to any party tonight. Get back to your room and sleep!” she yelled.

Disappointment etched on Mirabelle's face as she rushed back to her room, shutting the door behind her, and began to cry her eyes out. She had longed to attend the party with her friends, but her strict parents always stood in her way. They never allowed her to leave the house, let alone attend a birthday party. Was she going to cry herself to sleep? No, she soon wiped away her tears and started making plans to attend the party that very night.

She looked around for a clue and realized she hadn’t locked her window. An idea crossed her mind. Quickly, she grabbed her handbag and climbed out of the window.

Now outside the house, she faced another problem: how to leave the gate without being noticed. Without wasting much time, she devised a plan. She walked up to the gatekeeper and pleaded with him to let her out.

At first, the man refused, fearing it would jeopardize his job, but later agreed when she slipped some cash into his hand, promising more upon her return. That was how she left the house for the party that night without thinking of what awaits her during and after the party.

Everything was going smoothly at the party. It was luxuriously decorated. Mirabelle sat beside Owen, her love interest, as they enjoyed their drinks.

Owen looked handsome and charming in his black suit, exuding a gentlemanly aura. He had been pursuing Mirabelle ever since she joined the university. He was the mastermind of her attendance at the party, defying all odds. There was something on his mind, something he wanted from her, and he believed this was the perfect night to ask.

“Mirabelle, I really want to tell you something,” Owen said, his voice filled with anticipation.

“What is it?” she asked, her eyes shining with curiosity.

“I love you,” he confessed, gently touching her hand.

“Thank you. I love you too,” she replied, gazing at him affectionately.

“I have a surprise for you,” he whispered, his touch sending shivers down her spine. Excitedly, she exclaimed, “Wow, I love surprises! Show me, I can’t wait!”

“Come with me,” he said, standing up. Mirabelle followed suit as he took her hand, leading the way out of the crowded bar to a more intricate room in the hotel where he had paid for.

Harry isn’t a party type. Nightclubs and similar places didn’t appeal to him. His best friend, Luke, was just the opposite. He always tried to convince him to attend parties, as was the case tonight. He reluctantly followed because his crush would definitely be there. It's the birthday of her friend.

Luke was busy flirting with his girlfriends while Harry sat alone at the table, sipping his drink.

Truth be told, he wasn't really enjoying the party. He was more of a lonely spectator who came to watch rather than engage in having fun like others. To add insult to injury, his crush sat with her boyfriend at the table right opposite his. Their romantic display bothered him immensely. He should be the one with her. He should really be the very person she should look at with affection.

Looking at them from where he was sitting brought about the seed of jealousy. But what did he expect in the first place? That she'd come alone? Of course, she must have company! He resented his modest background. He wished his parents were wealthy. If so, he would have walked up to her a long time ago. Unfortunately, the dryness of his pockets never gave him such courage because he dreads rejection. "She is a beautiful and wealthy girl who deserves a rich and loving guy," his subconscious mind will always point out each time he meditated on it.
