JUST NOW,
A young man on motorcycle stopped in front of the drugstore next to the café , went inside to buy cigarettes.
In less than a minute... We walked out , his new moto vanished.
A man was sitting outside the café, ordered a ☕ and bottle of water... simply took it and disappeared.
There's a little crowd outside, no one noticed it.
The victim went in choc , one of the men took him on motorcycle, tried to catch any trail of the thief in surrounding streets, but nothing.
There's a camera away 30 m , of another store, he went to police station , he may get CCTV video and maybe , by miracle find a trace...
Unusual thing in this city, rare to happen and that's so bad.

My answer: No second thoughts I'd contact the person and return the money! 👍 Here's why:
1. I know what it feels like to lose hard-earned money. It's painfully heartbreaking to both mind and heart and can cause other repercussions. Regardless if whoever lost the wallet is wealthy or not, I would still return it because it's not mine. The person who lost it probably needs it too!
2. Even if it could make a big difference in my life, the old me would think twice before returning it but the me now would straight away contact the owner. The important thing is I am alive and can still eat 3x a day despite not being rich. So I don't care at all if I find a wallet with lots of cash in it. Using money lost by other people is fine if there's no one around to claim it, like if I found it on the road. There's no way for me to know who lost it unless I wait for some time to see if anyone looks for it. However because there's an ID and contact information of the wallet owner, it is clearly stealing if I don't return it. (Direct mortal sins avoided: #Theft is against 7th and 10th commandment. Secondary #sin to avoid is against the 8th commandment since we won't need to lie abt it. On top of that, we won't sin against the 1st commandment if we love and care more for other people and God than money.)
3. As a renewed #Catholic , I do not want to add more sins to my soul and injury to God who is already very much offended. Earthly riches are nothing compared to Heaven so I will avoid adding more dirt to my spirit that could also hurt the Lord Jesus Christ. (Deadly Sins avoided: Greed, Gluttony and Sloth) Meaning less effort in confessing any mortal and/or venial sin and having to go earn plenary indulgences just to remit the forgiven sins. 😉 Prevention by avoiding sin is better than the cure of going through painful purgatory upon death so I choose the narrow road to #Heaven ! Lezgo! 💪

Its not even out yet and for every copy you stole, that about a Dollar each time.
