Most people never realize they are living inside a prison they built in their own mind. It is not made of walls you can see. It is built from opinions, expectations, and the constant need to be accepted by others. And the moment you begin living for how you are perceived instead of who you truly are, you give up your freedom.
From a young age we are trained into this system. We are measured, ranked, judged, and compared before we even understand ourselves. Over time we start shaping our thoughts, actions, and identity around what will be approved instead of what is true. We begin chasing validation instead of alignment. What looks like ambition on the outside is often just fear of rejection on the inside.
This is where catabolic energy takes over. You start overthinking, hesitating, and filtering every decision through the question of how it will be received. That energy drains you, limits you, and keeps you stuck. You are no longer creating your life. You are reacting to it.
The truth is simple. The need for acceptance from others only exists when there is a lack of acceptance within yourself. You were never trapped by people. You were trapped by the belief that their approval defines your value.
The shift begins with awareness. Notice where you are performing instead of being real. Take responsibility for the energy you bring into your thoughts and actions. Choose alignment over approval. When you accept yourself fully, you remove the power others have over your direction.
That is where freedom lives. Not in being liked, but in being true.

One of the greatest freedoms a person can experience is realizing that you cannot control what others say about you. People will always form opinions. They will interpret your actions through their own fears, assumptions, and experiences. Some will misunderstand you. Some will paint you as the villain in the story they need to tell in order to justify their own position. That will happen no matter how hard you try to explain yourself or prove who you are.
The mistake many people make is allowing those opinions to control their internal world. They allow outside voices to disturb their thoughts, emotions, and sense of identity. When that happens, they give away their power.
True freedom begins when you stop fighting those external narratives and start focusing on who you choose to become.
There were times in my life when I worried about what others believed about me. I spent energy defending myself, explaining myself, and trying to make everyone understand my intentions. But I learned something important. People often see you through the lens of their own story, not yours. Their judgment says more about where they are in life than it does about who you truly are.
When I shifted my focus inward, everything changed. I committed to becoming the best version of myself. A person grounded in gratitude, compassion, empathy, and forgiveness. Not because others demanded it, but because that is who I choose to be.
When you live from that place, the noise of other opinions begins to fade. Your energy becomes focused on growth rather than defense. On purpose rather than approval.
Work on becoming your True Self. Strengthen your thoughts, your emotions, and your actions so they align with the life you want to live. When you do that, you stop reacting to every outside voice and start leading your own life.
That is where real freedom begins. And when you live that way, you not only elevate your own life, you naturally inspire others to do the same.
