After some further conversations and examining various points, it is for the best that I remain in the 'Development' region of Collectible Card Games...to build the universe that others can then base a CCG upon. One keye point that got my entire attention and I conceded due to absolute logic is that it would take me quite some time learning about CCG's, gaining the necessary experience with them, then there's also learning the Market and the finer nuances of everything involved. Time that would be better spent by me in Building the Universe. So, I will continue to do so, as that is where my skillset and abilities run towards. The better I build it, the better the CCG's will be as the more information and detail and richness there is for the CCG builders to draw from, the better. Thus, things are continuing on and the Builders do stay in-touch with me as they are quite interested.
On That, meet two more characters... The info about them is found at the links on my Deviantart Gallery
Just to say, I'm not so much 'Lurking' as carefully still learning how Tangled works, and being careful about what I click. I've learned that it's best I move slow with things like new sites...or I just confuse myself.
...yeah, being old has some distinct nuisances. Has some pretty good upsides, also.
The CCG card game is still in the works and after speaking with some people the strong consensus is 'It's a good and interesting idea', but I need to develop things more, on a Conceptual level. "The conceptual drives the mechanical" I was told, and I can understand that. It makes sense. Also, that's something I can certainly continue to do on my own, and will. So here and there I'll give out tidbits of that Conceptualization, and avoid Spoilers. Here's some ideas for Monsters I'm playing with.
"If you think we're top of the food-chain here, turn around and take a good, long look at our main competition."
It's become clear to me that building a CCG by myself is not the best approach. 1; I just don't know enough about CCG's. 2; I'd be a fool to not benefit from the much greater knowledge/experience of others regarding such. 3; Even if I did know everything about them, there's still simply too much work for one person to accomplish in anything that could be considered a reasonable time. 4; Outside the aspect of building the game itself, there's many other aspects such as Marketing, the CCG Market itself and getting Physical Cards printed that I genuinely am clueless about.
I'll be going ahead with it, however my next step at this point is seeking out assistance from those who are more knowledgeable/experienced in the crucial areas. I want this to be a well-crafted, properly-designed and fully thought-out product which just is not something I can deliver by taking it on alone.
If anyone has any suggestions of where I might seek out help with this idea, please let me know, if you'd be so kind??
In the meantime, here's some Experimentals I was playing with and noting how the a.i. will happily apply the right attire to one character while arguing with me on the other. Not that it matters, they're decently eye-catching and I'll figure out the a.i.'s whimsical nature eventually.
